Co-op in the Bouvé College of Health Science

Northeastern’s location is just blocks away from some of the most prestigious health-care and medical research facilities in the world. Students in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences consider this an advantage and benefit to thier education because they have unmatched access to top co-op positions, as well as outstanding clinical placements and networking opportunities.

Bouvé is an important partner in Boston's distinguished biomedical and health-care community, and our co-op program enables students to secure positions in hospitals, community health centers, biotech companies, schools, clinics, and research laboratories. Our co-op rotations consist of four- or six-month periods. Students in our three schools—Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy—learn to work as members of a health care team, and our co-op opportunities reinforce that team approach.

Our co-op faculty members are integrated into the college, providing you with plenty of support for your job search, during co-op, and afterwards as you reflect on how the experience dovetailed with your classroom learning.

However, as is true of the co-op program throughout the University, you will need to compete for top co-op positions in the health sciences, just as you will for full-time positions after graduation. That is part of the value of co-op in preparing you to succeed as a professional in the real world.

Students and Employers: Please visit the Bouvé College of Health Sciences website, http://www.northeastern.edu/bouve for more details about the program and cooperative education.
