Communications

Northeastern's co-op program—the largest and best in the nation—gives students the chance to experience amazing jobs and/or prepare for graduate school.

Students will find numerous entryways into the communications field, utilizing every medium imaginable: print and sign language, graphic design and photography, and multimedia studies, which combines design and photography with animation and music technology.

These mediums offer students a wealth of co-op opportunities: Positions with government communications offices, law firms, newspapers, schools, marketing departments, publishing companies, libraries, museums, event planning agencies, and public relations and advertising agencies, to name a few.

Communications studies and journalism majors can obtain positions with major radio and TV stations, including major broadcast and cable networks.

In addition, students interested in marketing communications can pursue co-op jobs with national and international companies and organizations, such as Reebok, American Red Cross, and General Electric.
