Transfer

Each year, we welcome more than 700 transfer students into our community, and for most, the opportunity to participate in co-op is the biggest draw.

Transfer students must complete at least one semester of classes before starting co-op; and, depending upon where they are in their academic program when they enroll here, transfer students may only be able to complete one or two co-ops in order to graduate within five years.

Co-op policies and procedures, as well as its many benefits, apply equally to transfer students as to undergraduates who came to Northeastern as freshmen.

Transfer applicants with questions about co-op are encouraged to speak with a transfer counselor in the Office of Admissions. Transfer students who have committed to attending Northeastern will also have the opportunity to get more specific co-op information at their orientation session.

Our student FAQ provides basic information about co-op. For more details, download our Cooperative Education Student Handbook.
