The Institute on Urban Health Research and Practice
The Institute on Urban Health Research and Practice (IUHRP) is devoted to research and its practical application to improve the health and well-being of the residents of Boston and other urban communities. The IUHRP is focused on the social determinants of health in urban settings, the promotion of health equity and the elimination of health disparities. Dr. Alisa Lincoln
“I am honored and excited to take on this new leadership role at the IUHRP and within Bouve’ College and the University. Building upon the work of the IUHRP Founding Director, Dr. Hortensia Amaro, and the leadership of John Auerbach, we are committed to re-establishing the IUHRP as a focal point and intellectual home at NEU for inter-disciplinary urban health research. We will continue to do this through the engagement of inter-disciplinary faculty, and undergraduate and graduate students form Bouve’ and campus wide who share a commitment to urban health and social justice.”
