LIVE NUcast - The Future of Reading
12 Noon on Thursday, October 1st
Northeastern University is pleased to invite you to join a live webcast panel discussion on Thursday, October 1st, entitled "The Future of Reading".
Advances in technology have altered the way we watch movies, and listen to music, and now how we read. Electronic reading devices like the Kindle make books available for download at the click of a button and libraries are quickly digitizing volumes of books and documents. What does this mean for the future of reading? Experts will discuss the benefits and pitfalls of the new technologies during this exciting live NUcast
The panel discussion will begin at 12 Noon EDT and will include the following experts:
Will Wakeling Dean of Northeastern University's Libraries
Mary Loeffelholz Professor of English and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Eve Bridburg Literary agent at Zachary Shuster Harmsworth and founder of Grub Street, Inc.
Tawna Rathe Moderator
We hope that you take advantage of this opportunity to hear from leading experts on the issues facing books, publishing and libraries.
The webcast will not be password-protected and will be available for future watching after the event.
