Program Overview

The N.U.in Program was created for those students who are seeking a challenging academic experience with an international edge. Students return from their time abroad more adventurous, bold, ambitious, intellectually curious, reflective, and independent. They share a passion for the world and thrive in their community. N.U.in students are well-prepared for translating their knowledge into marketable assets throughout college and into the future.

Admitting students into The N.U.in Program allows the university to take talented candidates who otherwise may not have been able to join Northeastern due to our competitive applicant pool. The program is a unique first-year experience designed to provide students with the support they need to develop as innovators with the skills to differentiate themselves in the classroom, the job market, and beyond.

The N.U.in Program is very different from a traditional study abroad experience—engaging students immediately in the experiential learning model they will follow throughout their years at Northeastern. Two other unique strengths of the program include our N.U.in Staff and our Service-Learning component.
