Northeastern University at BIO 2007

(5-7-07) Several Northeastern University researchers are taking part in the BIO International Convention, the biotechnology industry’s signature annual event, attracting more than 20,000 biotechnology executives, scientists, policymakers and journalists from around the world.  This year’s conference, themed “New Ideas. Bold Ventures. Global Benefits.”, is taking place May 6-9 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.  The convention is sponsored by BIO, the world's largest biotechnology organization with more than 1,100 members worldwide, and features dozens of sessions covering biotech trends, policy issues and technological innovations.

Among those from Northeastern taking an active role in the conference:

Northeastern University also has a booth in the Massachusetts Pavilion (Booth #533/C34) and posters in the Innovation Corridor by the following professors: Joseph Ayers, Robert Hanson, Volkmar Weissig, Sarathi Boddapati, Greg Kowalski, Bill Detrich, Nasser Fard, Paul Vouros, Roger Kautz, and Donald O’Malley.
