Office Theft

•Theft from locked offices on campus is rare. Most thefts are from unlocked and unattended offices.

• Keep your purse, wallet, keys and other valuable items with you at all times or locked in a drawer or closet.

• Report the presence of strangers or suspicious people who do not seem "right" to the University Police immediately.

• Report malfunction locks and windows or doors that do not close and lock properly. Don't wait for someone else to report it.

• Practice responsible key control. Do not keep a spare master key in an accessible place for convenience of staff who might lock themselves out of their office.
