Meet the Students
Jason
Jason is from Los Angeles, California and is majoring in Psychology at Northeastern. In his freshman year, Jason volunteered with Social Change through Peace Games, and he is working towards a leadership position in the organization. Jason is a member of the Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity at NU.
Leo
Leo, from Dobb’s Ferry, New York, is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and is a Dean’s List scholar. Leo is a member of Social Change through Peace Games and participated in the Bridge to Engineering program at NU.
Jamie
Originally from New Gloucester, Maine, Jamie is an American Sign Language major and earned Dean’s List distinction her freshman year. In addition to volunteering at DEAF, Inc. in Boston, Jamie is a Big Sister through Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Boston.
Roberto Delvalle
Roberto is from Hyde Park, Massachusetts and is majoring in Communications. Roberto is a member of Social Change through Peace Games, a Husky Ambassador tour guide on campus, and a Dean’s List scholar.
Sara
Originally from Morristown, New Jersey, Sara is a Political Science major and a Dean’s List scholar. In her freshman year, Sara earned a position on NU’s Disciplinary Board and is also a member of cultural clubs on campus.
Tabitha
Tabitha, from Milton, Massachusetts, is a Spanish major and volunteers with social service organizations in the community.
Unice
Unice is from Providence, Rhode Island, and he is majoring in Biology. Unice recently returned from a Dialogues of Civilization trip to Ghana and volunteers in the Boston Public Schools as a mentor.
Dagamawit
Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Dags is currently a Graphic Design major and hopes to minor in Business. As a freshman scholar, Dags mentored Boston high school students and plans to continue her service work as a LEAD mentor, helping to motivate high school seniors through the college admissions process.
Kati
Kati, a graduate of Dorchester Academy in Boston, is majoring in Business with a minor in French. Kati is a Program Assistant in the Office of Educational Opportunity Scholarship Programs, in addition to her work as a Husky Ambassador Tour Guide on campus, and a writing tutor in the General Studies Program. Kati is also a Program Assistant for LEAD (Linking Education and Diversity), facilitating a mentoring program at NU with Boston high School seniors.
