Mayor Bloomberg Announces New York City Will Host a Ticker-Tape Parade and Ceremony for the Super Bowl XLVI Champions New York Giants
Mayor Bloomberg announced tonight that New York City will host a ticker-tape parade in honor of the Super Bowl XLVI Champions New York Giants on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012. The parade will begin at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11:00 AM and continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, at which the Mayor will present the NY Giants with Keys to the City.

Mayor Bloomberg Presents FY 2013 Preliminary Budget
Mayor Bloomberg today presented a Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 Preliminary Budget and an updated four-year financial plan. The Mayor outlined a plan that achieves a balanced budget - closing a $2 billion budget gap without tax increases - which is made possible by the City's years of prudent planning and spending restraint.

Mayor Bloomberg Opens New 70,000-Square-Foot Pershing Square Signature Center On Manhattan's Far West Side
Mayor Bloomberg and Signature Theatre Founding Artistic Director Signature James Houghton today opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the new, permanent home for Signature Theatre designed by Frank Gehry. Spanning a city block at 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues, the Center features three theatres, a studio theatre, rehearsal studio, and a public café, bar and bookstore.

Mayor Bloomberg Presents FY 2012 Preliminary Budget
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today presented a Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 Preliminary Budget and an updated four-year financial plan. The Mayor outlined a plan to close a $4.58 billion deficit with no tax increases for New Yorkers and without additional cuts in City-funded services. The plan relies on $5.2 billion in savings generated though nine rounds of deficit closing actions taken by City agencies, additional tax revenues that reflect the Citys continually improving economy and $600 million in actions taken at the State level.
