What Are Your Kids Eating For Lunch?
Documentary explores connection between lunch lines and student waist lines
Join us at the Orlando Public Library, Library Central on Wednesday, February 23 at 10 a.m. for a special community screening of the documentary film Lunch Line. The film follows six students from Chicago as they set out to fix school lunch and end up serving their healthy alternative cuisine to congressional representatives and touring the White House. Lunch Line offers a glimpse into the history of the modern school lunch program as well as opinions and solutions presented by experts and government officials.
The screening will be followed by a discussion about the connection between school lunch and the national childhood obesity epidemic, and what we can do about it. Wholesome Tummies provides nutritious, organic and all-natural meals to children where they live and learn. Delicious Wholesome Tummies samples will be offered following the screening.
*This special event is FREE and everyone is invited.
