Meet local author Joe David Bellamy as he discusses his book, Kindred Spirits: 400 Years of an American Family.  After the loss of his parents during the defining years of his adulthood, Bellamy took on the task of establishing his family history and finding his identity through genealogy.  Using the extensive research he conducted, Kindred Spirits is the true account of the Bellamy family history, which extends much further than the middle-class American family he only considered them to be.  His memoir discusses early American history, the incredible advancements that DNA testing has provided to the field of genealogy and how new Internet resources haven given a refreshed credibility to family histories.  This personal, captivating and relatable story is inspiring to anyone who is interested in their own family history.  Book sale and signing will follow program.

*This special event is FREE and everyone is invited.
