Personalities by Dr. Michael Shelton
Orlando Public Library and Washington Park Branch
Internationally known artist Dr. Michael Shelton displays his celebrity portraits of famous African Americans in celebration of Black History Month. Shelton’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, Europe and Africa. His latest series featuring life-size figures done in oil is on display at the Washington Park Branch. His smaller pieces are on display in the cases on the first floor of the Orlando Public Library. Dr. Shelton’s library exhibits commemorate his 50 years as an artist.

Presidential Libraries by Don Lenz
Orlando Public Library, Third Floor through February
Celebrate President’s Day by browsing an exhibit of brochures and memorabilia from Presidential Libraries collected by Donald Lenz, Orlando resident and member of the American Political Items Collectors. Presidential Libraries consist of a nationwide network of 13 libraries (made up of archives and museums) with the mission of preserving and making available the papers, records, collections and other historical materials of every President of the United States since Herbert Hoover. Artist Fred J. Goodart enjoys abstract painting using all mediums with an emphasis on oil and acrylics. Over the years, Goodart has exhibited his paintings across the country, created commissioned works of art and won numerous awards at juried shows. Now retired from teaching and educational sales, Goodart devotes his time to the Orange County Public Schools ADDitions Program where he volunteers daily at Princeton Elementary School's Media Center.
