Join Whiz Kids, the tech club that creates comics, animates images, mixes music, makes movies, and much more. Ages 6-12.

OCLS Squirt

Technology classes are free to Library District Resident card holders, Fee card holders, and Orange County Property Owner card holders. Others may attend by paying a $10 fee at time of registration prior to class time. Please register with the child’s library card. A responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger and must stay in close proximity while the child is participating in Whiz Kids.

Lego, consists of colourful interlocking plastic bricks and an accompanying array of gears, minifigures and various other parts. Lego bricks can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct such objects as vehicles, buildings, and even working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects. Come and explore!

Use Snap Circuits to explore the basics of electronics while you build exciting projects such as a flashing light, an alarm, a doorbell and more. Make learning electronics a snap. Fun for anyone ages 8 years and up. Registered children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult, guardian or older sibling in the workshop.
