The Orange County Library System has been named Florida Library of the Year for 2010.* The award was presented by the Florida Library Association at their annual meeting in Orlando on April 9, 2010. Congratulations to the staff of the Orange County Library System whose commitment to providing only the best to the public we serve brought us this recognition. Special thanks go to Jim Myers, August Calabrese, Tracy Covey, John Henkle, Sherry Lee, Sharon Payton, Jonathon Small, Alexis Weimer, and Pamala Wilson for their efforts in creating the application for the award.

* For 2010, the Florida Library Association selected two libraries for this honor. The Alachua County Library District was a co-recipient.
