On May 9th, the new ocls.info will arrive! All webpages and URLs in the www.ocls.info website* will change as we switch to our new and improved site. When this happens, bookmarks, favorites, and links to this page may cease to work OR may redirect you to a page on the new site which contains similar content. Learn more about the new site!

*Please note that the redesign does not include the library's catalog or the event & class registration system.

NOTE: New & Popular Titles, E-books, Audiobooks, Digital Movies, and more will be found in the Books, Movies & More section of our new website. This page provides a catalog search box to find exactly what you need, or you can browse through library materials using our exciting book cover carousels. These carousels highlight a variety of materials and genres and have a feel similar to browsing Netflix or OverDrive.

Zinio for Libraries

The Orange County Library System now offers more than 200 e-magazine titles through Zinio for Libraries. The e-magazines can be read on your computer and a variety of mobile devices. View a list of available titles.

Access Zinio for Libraries by entering your Orange County resident library card information below. Your library card account must be in good standing.

What's New?

On March 10, 2015, Zinio for Libraries was updated with the following key features:

  • One Account - You only need to create the Zinio for Libraries account, the commercial account with Zinio.com is now optional.
  • Online Browser Reader - Read magazines from a web browser, the Zinio Reader application is no longer needed to read magazines on your computer
  • New Zinio for Libraries App - Sign in with your Zinio for Libraries account and read magazines on your iPad or Android device.
  • Zinio.com App - You can continue to use the commercial Zinio app and account if you have purchased magazines or wish to read magazines from your iPhone/iPod touch or Kindle Fire HD/HDX.

What to Expect

Once you have accessed Zinio for Libraries with your library card and PIN, you will need to create a Zinio for Libraries account with an email address and password. The Zinio for Libraries account will allow you to access the library's e-magazine collection page and read and manage your e-magazines.

Please see the Browse, Check Out, Read Guide for complete details and screenshots.

Available Apps

Zinio for Libraries App

The Zinio for Libraries mobile app is currently available for the iPad and Android for free in the corresponding app stores. (This app will be available soon for iPhone/iPod touch and Kindle Fire/Fire HD.)

Get the app: iPad | Android

Zinio.com App

Right now, for the iPhone, you can search for the Zinio.com app (not the Zinio for Libraries app) in the app store, or follow this link on your device: Get the iPhone/iPod touch app.

The Kindle Fire HD/HDX app is not currently available through their app store, so you will be required to load the app from outside the app store: Get the Kindle Fire HD/HDX app.

The Zinio for Libraries app for the iPhone and Kindle Fire/Fire HD is scheduled for 2015 at which time there would be no need to visit the Zinio.com commercial site.

Keep in mind that your commercial app collection may contain materials not associated with your library collection.
