Honors & Recognition Programs - Distinguished Student Award

PVCC's Distinguished Student Award is presented to a student who demonstrates exemplary service or leadership within the College or in other activities in PVCC's service region and beyond.

A student may be nominated for this award by a student, faculty or staff member at PVCC. The College's Awards Committee recommends the recipient to the president, who makes the presentation of the award at PVCC's Annual Academic and Awards Convocation held in the spring.

Nominees must be enrolled full or part time but should have completed at least 30 credit hours at PVCC by the end of the current semester. Nominees must demonstrate academic excellence and be in good standing at the College. Additional considerations may include obstacles overcome to achieve academic excellence such as physical challenges, family responsibilities or employment demands.

Opportunity. Access. Excellence.
