Kluge-Moses Science Building - Cost and Funding
Cost
- $9.4 million (est.) for construction
- $11.4 million (est.) for entire project (design, construction, traffic roundabout, furnishings, equipment, etc.)
Funding
- State of Virginia general funds, including $5 million from the 2002 General Obligation Bond package and $880,000 from Old Dominion University
- Patricia Kluge and William Moses, $1.2 million gift
- $600,000 for site work and traffic roundabout generously contributed by localities in PVCC's service region - the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson
- $100,000 from the Perry Foundation for equipment
- $50,000 from Elmer and Jennifer Gaden to furnish the chemistry lab.
