Learning Efficency for Academic Success
The Learning, Math, and Writing Centers provide an important element in the quality education PVCC students have come to expect. The centers offer tutoring in almost every subject at PVCC, as well as regular workshops in study skills, math, and writing. Academic Coaching is available for students who wish to develop their learning efficiency and skills on a range of topics, including test taking, test anxiety, writing improvement and study and time management. Students who want to improve their grades, learn more efficiently and get help in challenging subjects frequent the centers. There is no charge for these services; they are covered by your tuition.
The Learning Center is located in room M617 in the Main Building.
Testing Center Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Math Center Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Writing Center Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Tutoring In Other Subjects:
Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Additional tutoring hours available Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. by appointment only. Please call 961-5499 to schedule an appointment.
