PSEO Traditional Option

Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEO)

The Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program, also known as Ohio Senate Bill 140, allows qualified students to enroll in courses offered on a college campus, in addition to taking courses at the high school. The program has two options:

Option B
By selecting Option B, high school students may earn both high school and college credit without paying tuition. Under Option B, students will also receive required textbooks free of charge. Parochial school students or students attending non-chartered schools must be approved for funding by Ohio's Department of Education in order to attend under this option.

Option A
Under Option A, high school students earn college credit only and are responsible for paying for tuition and books. Kent State East Liverpool and Salem welcomes applications from home-schooled students who, if accepted, are required to enroll Option A. Accepted students enrolled full-time in another institution's PSEO program are restricted to Option A enrollment at Kent State University at Salem and East Liverpool.
