The Health Systems Grants Administration and Development Office provides administrative services and support to faculty who are involved in extramural sponsored activities.
The primary functions of this office are:
- Investigation and evaluation of grant opportunities
- Preparation of materials necessary to assist faculty to create competitive grant proposals
- Internal review and processing of grant applications
- Electronic submission of grant applications and J-I-T information
- Coordination and administration of post-award procedures and activities
- Contract and subcontract negotiation
- Liaison between the USA Health Sciences division and sponsoring agencies
- Liaison between the USA Health Sciences division and the Office of Technology Transfer
- First point of contact for Material Transfer Agreements, Invention Disclosures and Confidentiality Agreements
- Provide in-service training to faculty and staff
- Ensure compliance with Health Sciences division/College of Medicine, University and agency business practices, procedures and regulations
