Welcome to the Pre-Health Professional Advising Program at the University of South Alabama. The University of South Alabama is a great place to be a pre-health student. The faculty and staff here are some of the best. The University is a Carnegie "High Research Activity" institution and our faculty perform cutting edge research in their fields. Our size allows us to offer you ample opportunities to shadow practitioners, perform research with some of the best and brightest and gain valuable service and volunteer experience.
All of us in the First Year Advising Center are dedicated to helping you on your journey and we are here to provide valuable resources as you work towards a graduate education in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, physician assistant studies, and pharmacy studies, amongst many others. We want you to gain confidence so that you can take on the responsibility for your academic success. We are here to help you craft a workable plan to achieve your goals by providing structure, guidance and information about University and Pre-Health resources. It is our goal that students leave our office feeling encouraged, empowered and part of a team as they work towards graduation and beyond.
