Health Systems Grant Administration and Development Office
The Mission of the Office of Health Systems Grants Administration and Development is to provide administrative services and support to faculty and staff of the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health and the Mitchell Cancer Institute who are involved in extramural sponsored activities. This office ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and private regulations, to adhere to policies of the university and the funding sponsor and to ultimately serve the university community in the pre- and post-award management of sponsored activities.
The primary functions of this office are:
- Investigation and evaluation of grant opportunities
- Preparation of materials necessary to assist faculty to create competitive grant proposals
- Internal review and processing of grant applications
- Electronic submission of grant applications, J-I-T information and post-award prior approval requests
- Coordination and administration of post-award procedures and activities
- Liaison between the USA Health Sciences faculty and sponsoring agencies
- Liaison between the College of Medicine and the Office of Technology Transfer
- First point of contact for Material Transfer Agreements, Invention Disclosures and Confidentiality Agreements
- Provide in-service training to faculty and staff
- Ensure compliance with the College of Medicine, University and agency business practices, procedures and regulations
