Community Involvement
Throughout the year, Kent State Stark students, faculty and staff are actively involved in extensive community service initiatives. For the third consecutive year, the Corporation for National and Community Service has recognized their contributions “for exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth” by naming the campus to The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
First Year Experience Summer Service Projects
Over the summer, several Kent State Stark students will participate in service projects throughout Stark County. As part of the First-Year Experience, new students to Kent State Stark work with Stark Parks, Stark County Hunger Task Force and Meals on Wheels.
