In order for your admission application to be processed in a timely manner before classes begin, we suggest that you apply by the following dates:

Summer 2013: Monday, July 8
Fall 2013: Monday, Aug. 19
Spring 2014: Monday, Jan. 6

First Year Admissions

Welcome First Year Students!

A first year (freshman) student is one who has not registered, attended or received financial aid at any college, university, technical or proprietary school after graduation from high school.

First Year Application Requirements:

  1. $30 nonrefundable admission fee
    The nonrefundable admission feel will increase to $40 for Spring 2014 applicants.
  2. Official high school transcript or official GED score report
    If you're graduating from high school this year, you will also have to send a final high school transcript after graduation.
  3. ACT or SAT scores
    Scores are not required if you have been out of high school for 3 years or if you are over the age of 21.
Homeschooled Applicants
Students who have been homeschooled are required to supply the following:
  1. $30 nonrefundable admission fee
    The nonrefundable admission feel will increase to $40 for Spring 2014 applicants.
  2. Written verification from your school district superintendent's office excusing you from compulsory attendance.
  3. Official portfolio documenting courses completed and grade received for grades 9-12 and showing high school graduation.
    This portfolio must be signed by the person or organization who provided the home schooling.
  4. ACT or SAT scores
    (not required if you are over the age of 21)

Official Transcripts
Transcripts are considered official only if they arrive in a sealed envelope from a high school, college or university. Transcripts issued directly to the student will be accepted only if the envelope is unopened. Once the envelope seal has been broken by someone other than a university employee, the transcript becomes unofficial.
