DEPARTMENT: NETWORK SERVICES
JOB TITLE:  Helpdesk Tier 1 Support Associate
DUTIES:  This student worker will work closely with the Helpdesk manager to take the first calls from the Helpdesk line and begin troubleshooting based on documentation provided. They will input all the pertinent information into the Network Services ticket system and disperse the information to the rest of the department as needed. They will also help manage the Helpdesk database, running reports, cleaning data, review tickets for missing information and add notes as needed. They will help manage the documentation for the helpdesk and test any directions on various issues. They will be the backup support for lab and campus issues. Still maintaining regular lab assistant training and duties but will only be called in to those tasks when others are not available.
REQUIRED SKILLS:  Customer Service, Phone Skills, Basic use of Word, Power point, Excel and Access, Organizational skills, Create helpdesk documentation.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK:
10-15 a week more on long breaks
RATE OF PAY:  $8.25 per hour

JOB TITLE:    Distance Learning Class Assistant
DUTIES:   Monitor distance learning equipment during class times.  May be asked to assist Media Services in the setup of audiovisual equipment for classes and special events on campus and at the University Center.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Computer skills, troubleshooting.

NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK:   Varies.  No less than 4 and no greater than 20.

DEPARTMENT:  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
JOB TITLE:  Student Assistant
DUTIES:  Work with grounds crew (primarily in the outdoors; varied temperatures and weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, loud equipment noise, etc); lawn care, flowers, shrubs, operate motor vehicles, tools, keep grounds clean, snow and ice removal.  Requires considerable physical exertion to include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds including snow shoveling and extended periods of kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking. 
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Previous grounds maintenance and/or landscaping experience.  Practical knowledge in the operation of grounds maintenance equipment and tools (i.e., rakes, shovels, pruning tools, gasoline powered Gator ATV’s, backpack blowers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, power edger’s, etc.).  Valid Ohio driver’s license with safe driving record.

DEPARTMENT: ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER
JOB TITLE:  American Sign Language Peer Tutor

DUTIES:  Assist students in Elementary ASL I and II and Intermediate ASL I and II in the ASL lab with practicing sign language and completing modules.
PREFERRED SKILLS: 
Proficiency in American Sign Language; peer tutors must have completed Intermediate ASL II.  Dependability, patience, and desire to help others are qualities the ideal candidate will possess.

DUTIES:
Officiating is an entry-level position within Fitness & Recreation. Be a part of an officiating crew for various team sports-flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. Employee selects which sports he/she wishes to officiate. Scorekeeping may also be required. Hiring occurs approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the start of each team sport season. Flexible scheduling varied hours, typically evenings and late nights.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
