Offering quality online courses and online degree programs

The MED exam requires a proctor. It is the student's responsibility to find an acceptable proctor. The student is also responsible for contacting the potential proctor ensuring that individual will agree to proctor the online exam(s) prior to submitting the potential proctor's name on the Proctor Request Form. After the online form is submitted it will be reviewed for approval. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from eCampus. The proctor should then be contacted to set up a time to take the online exam(s) within a designated time period.

If you live within 60 miles of a Troy University campus, a Troy University regional site, a testing center, a library, or another accredited college or university that is willing to proctor exams for distance learners, you are required to schedule and take your exam at one of those facilities. If you live more than 60 miles from one of those facilities, one of the following officials may qualify as a proctor:

  • Human Resource Director
  • Personnel Director
  • Educational Services Officer (ESO)
  • Base Testing Office
  • Principal or assistant principal
The person you submit for a proctor must have earned at least a bachelors degree. Troy University students may not serve as a proctor; nor can a relative, co-worker or friend.

Your proctor cannot use a Yahoo!, AOL, Hotmail or any other free e-mail account as his/her contact e-mail. Please submit your proctor's business e-mail.

In addition, you must contact your proctor prior to submitting his/her name to agree to administer your exam(s). The proctor must be willing to accept exams via e-mail because no exams will be sent via fax to a proctor. Only exams for Navy College Program participants will be mailed (and then only if the appropriate box is checked on the proctor form).

*Your chosen proctor must have earned at least a bachelors degree.
