Wallace's son discusses famous father at Troy University

TROY—The son of Alabama's most famous elected official visited Troy University Friday to discuss his father's life and legacy which included two famous presidential runs, an assassination attempt and the recanting of the philosophy of racial segregation that helped to fuel his initial political success.

George Wallace, Jr. spoke before a crowd of almost 200 students and faculty at the University's Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor to promote his new book "Governor George Wallace: The Man You Never Knew by the Man Who Knew Him Best."
