FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 1-334-670-3196 ‘Into the Woods’ to be presented by TSU Department of Speech and Theatre The Troy State University Theatre Department will present the musical “Into the Woods” April 25 and 26.
Performances will be in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the TSU campus. Show times are 7:30 p.m. with the house opening at 7 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased at the Trojan Center Box Office. Tickets are $5 for students who present an ID and $10 for the public. For more information, contact the TSU Department of Speech and Theatre at 334-670-3714.
“Into the Woods” is described as a fractured fairy tale. When a baker and his wife learn they have been cursed with childlessness by the witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of act one, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results.
