Photojournalist displays work at Malone Gallery
TROY – Troy University will play host to an exhibit by a photojournalist engaged in covering events ranging from the Israeli-Lebanese conflict to Iraq to the Indonesian tsunami.
Paul Taggart, a photojournalist based in the Middle East, will be showing work that represents assignments in Iraq, Lebanon, Indonesia, Niger, Liberia and other places in the University’s Malone Gallery Aug. 28 – Sept. 22.
A reception and lecture will be held in his honor from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Aug. 31.
His recent assignments have taken him to Antarctica, Indonesia, Lebanon, Jordan, Nigeria, Niger, Liberia, and Iraq. His work has appeared in Newsweek, TIME Magazine, Time (Europe), US News and World Report, The New York Times, The Daily and Sunday Telegraph (UK), The Independent (UK), Boston Globe, Harper’s and Queen (UK), People Magazine, Figaro (France), The International Herald Tribune, Maxim, Jeune Afrique, l'expresss, National Geographic Adventure, and The Times of London (UK). Corporate clients have included BP, GE, and US Newswire.
