Troy University to Offer Healthcare Workshop on Environmental Hazards
DOTHAN - Learn to protect yourself, your family and others from environmental hazards. The Troy University Continuing Education Center will offer a workshop on Protecting Your Children’s Health April 5. Dr. Habiba Shaw will provide the most up-to-date information on ways to safeguard children from asthma attacks, lead poisoning, unsafe drinking water, radon gas, hazardous household products and pesticides.
The seminar, which will be held on the Dothan Campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is open to nurses, social workers, dietary personnel, extension agents, health educators and pharmacists. Parents and others interested in learning more about environmental hazards are also encouraged to attend. Healthcare CEUs are available to participants.
