Benefits of new student housing 1 minute 22 seconds. Out-takes possible. Growth over the last decade has prompted us to realize that on-campus housing must be constructed. We have hundreds of students who would like to live on campus. It’s been proven that on-campus housing and the residential life that’s available for students does many things. It bonds the student with university more quickly. It also contributes to a higher GPA. So, for a variety of reasons, we want to add the additional 525 beds. The project is the largest the University has ever undertaken at 24 million dollars and it will literally create a new face on the western edge of our campus. So I think the bonding that it represents, the excitement that it represents and the growth that it affords really adds a wonderful dimension to Troy University and positions well for the next decade.
