Asim K. Bej
Asim Bej received his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Louisville. He is a professor of Biology at UAB and specializes in microbial molecular genetics.
Professor Emeritus John J. Sloan III earned his B.S. and M.S. from Eastern Michigan University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University. He is the author or co-author of over 100 scholarly articles, book chapters, research reports, and professional presentations on crime and related topics, and co-author of several books on campus crime. He also co-founded (with Dr. Anthony Skjellum) the UAB Center for Information Assurance and Joint Forensics Research (CIA|JFR) in 2011 and served as the Center’s Associate Director (2012-2014) and Director (2014-2015).
Gary Warner holds a B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences from UAB. He is the Director of Research in Computer Forensics. He is part of the Birmingham InfraGard, FBI Digital PhishNet, and Anti-Phishing Working Group. His research interests include cybercrime investigation, anti-spam, anti-phishing, cyber incident handling, cyber incident rapid response development, and malware analysis.
