  • The UAB Wifi Network is comprised of over 1400 access points and covers over 100 buildings. During February 15,000 unique users connected via WiFi using over 43,000 unique devices. UAB IT continues to monitor and manage the WiFi network to ensure both service and coverage meet the needs of the UAB community.
  • UAB's Automated Password Reset tool was used over 1600 times during 2012 providing a quick and convenient method to reset a forgotten BlazerID password. Have you registered a cell phone in B-Alert/e-Notify?   • AskIT answered over 37,000 calls during 2012 (Tuesdays were the busiest call day). Overall, IT closed over 53,000 tickets in 2012. 
  • 350,000 email messages are delivered daily to 35,000 UAB mailboxes. Almost 2,000,000 spam messages are blocked every day.
