Since 1968, UAB and Children's of Alabama (CH) have had an affiliation agreement that established CH as the primary site for all pediatric educational programs and patient care activities within the UAB Medical Center.  This alliance has allowed the Department of Pediatrics and CH to pursue a joint mission - to excel in patient care, research, and education through a lifetime commitment to improving the health of all children.

education-home The faculty of the Department of Pediatrics provides a diverse and extensive spectrum of medical expertise and health care services, from primary care to subspecialty services. Over the past five years the department has experienced significant growth in the number of full-time medical pediatric faculty. Currently there are over 100 full-time faculty in general pediatrics and subspecialty divisions.
