When to Pay UAB Tuition and Fees Print E-mail
In order to make sure you have the best possible access to the classes you need to complete your degree on a timely schedule, students must adhere to the below payment deadlines. Piggy Bank graphic Students receiving need based financial aid, external funding (e.g. PACT, VA benefits, etc.), or scholarships will not be negatively impacted by this policy.
Payment deadlines are listed on official academic calendar.
The following payment timelines are in place at UAB for Spring 2013 semester:
Billing Timeline Amount Due
Thursday, January 3, 2013 50 percent of account balance due
Wednesday, February 20, 2013 Remainder of balance due
A student’s balance due will be 50 percent of charges plus any outstanding balance less financial aid, educational assistance, or third-party payments.
Students who do not make the initial payment of 50 percent of their account balance 10 days before the first class day of the term will be dropped from their courses for non-payment.
Students who initially register between January 3 and January 8 will be required to pay 50 percent of their account balance by January 8; for these students, failure to make appropriate initial payment by this date will will result in the student being dropped from courses for the term.
The payment schedule changes will impact graduate and undergraduate students. It will not impact students in first professional programs in the schools of Medicine, Optometry and Dentistry.
