Dora Gonçalves-Currey holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She teaches elementary and intermediate Spanish. She has been with the Foreign Literature & Languages Department since 2002. In addition to teaching in the classroom she has studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain and has travelled to many Spanish speaking countries. It has always been her philosophy that one learns a language for the purpose of using it to communicate. For this reason, she would label her classes as being very communicative in nature.
