Minors in Spanish may be elected by students majoring in other fields. All minors complete a total of 18 credits, including SPA 301 and SPA 302, at least two introduction to literature or survey of literature courses and two additional upper-level courses. Additional Spanish elective coursework may be taken for degree completion requirements according to student need or interest.

To declare a minor in Spanish:
Any degree candidate who has between 54 and 84 credits, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and a 2.5 grade point average in his/her major, may requst admission to a minor in the Department of Foreign Literature & Languages. Before being admitted to the Foreign Literature and Languages minor, students must obtain permission from the Department Chairperson.

Students must "Declare a Minor" through the Registrar's Office, the proper form must be filled out and signed by the students' major Chairperson and Advisor as well as the Chairperson of the Foreign Literature & Languages Department.
