Student aid is defined as any resource that supplements what parents and students are expected to contribute to meet the costs of a college education.

UMass-Dartmouth receives four types of student aid: grants, scholarships, loans, and work study.Financial aid is also available in the form of loans for UMass-Dartmouth summer study abroad programs provided that students take 6 credits at UMD during the summer term.
