Psi Chi: The Honor Society

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor societies. Founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology, membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests.

Undergraduates who are elected to Psi Chi must rank in the upper 35 percent of their class in general scholarship, must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA, and must demonstrates superior scholarship in psychology, earning an average grade of "B" or better in psychology courses. Psi Chi chapters are operated by student officers and faculty advisors. All chapters register their inductees at the National Office, where the membership records are preserved for reference purposes.
