The Faculty Instructional Laptop Program (FILP) distributes laptops to be used for instructional purposes in conjunction with the technology-enabled classrooms.

These classrooms include a technology component that depends on faculty having laptop computers to use with the Internet and projection systems.

The 2011 Faculty Instructional Laptop Program (FILP) is now accepting applications through May 5, 2011.

It is the intent of the program to replace these laptops every 3 years. Faculty who participated in previous FILP phases have already received a separate notification regarding their renewal and noting their automatic eligibility and replacement information. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Faculty who have never participated in a previous FILP phase
  • Faculty who will use laptops in courses for academic year 2011-2012
  • Faculty members who do not already have a UMass Dartmouth laptop that is less than 2 years old
