ADMISSIONS:

CVPA is a community of learners committed to developing individual creative potential by exploring the symbols and language of the visual and performing arts. All applicants for admission to any one of the major undergraduate programs in visual art must meet portfolio requirements as an element in the department's admission decision. Depending on the students' areas of study, additional materials may be required. All applicants to CVPA's music program, an undergraduate degree, are required to audition.

Undergraduate admission to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is selective, based on academic performance and promise. The University is interested in applicants whose scholastic performance, aptitude, interests, character, and study habits give promise of success.

Graduate, postbaccalaureate, and certificate program admission to the University is made at the departmental and college levels through a process of faculty review and individual applications and approval from the Dean of the college.
