JOHN HARRISON III: Biography

Pianist, arranger, composer, and producer, John Harrison III has toured frequently on the festival circuit in Europe and the USA. After obtaining a B.A. degree in Music with a major in composition from Berklee College of Music, he continued his studies at the University of Massachusetts. He is a former faculty member at Berklee and a current faculty member at UMass Dartmouth. His other teaching credits include guest faculty member at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and L'Ecole des Musiques, Toulouse, France.

He has accompanied many of the regions best known musicians in live performances, on tour and in recording sessions. He was the Musical Director for Capitol recording artists, "Tavares."

John also has two CD's as a leader. In 1995 "Going Places" was released by TCB records of Motreaux, Switzerland. His current release, is "Roman Sun" with the Whaling City Sound label. His original compositions have been published by Black Hawk records, Parr records, TCB records and WCS records.
