ANDREW NIXON: Biography

Andrew Nixon received his B.F.A. degree from Boston University's School of Visual Arts, and his M.F.A. degree from Indiana University's Hope School of Fine Arts. Since 1992, He has taught drawing courses in Fine Arts at UMass Dartmouth. He has also taught as a member of Rhode Island School of Design's Summer Faculty as well as a member of the Fine Arts Faculty at the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art in Pont-Aven, France. In 1997, Nixon was awarded a Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant to pursue landscape drawing. His work has been exhibited in the Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, as well as in galleries in New York, Boston, Chicago, and France.
