The Computer and Information Science Department (CIS) offers undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. This program is accredited since 1988 by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012. The CIS Department offers also three minors in: Computer Science, in Software Engineering, and in Systems Software.

At the graduate level, the CIS Department offers program leading to Master of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition the CIS Department offers three graduate certificate programs in: Computer Science, Software Development and Design, and in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems.

The mission of the CIS Department is to provide excellent education to majors in computer science and to do high quality research in the discipline.
