Notes: In the first game of a Little East Conference doubleheader in Dartmouth, UMass Boston jumped out to a 5-2 lead after four innings and held the lead into the seventh. But the Beacons allowed seven runs on six hits and committed four errors in the UMass Dartmouth seventh, leading to an 11-8 come-from-behind victory by the Corsairs. The victory extended UMass Dartmouth's winning streak to six in a row and improved the Corsairs' overall record to 10-8 and 3-0 in the LEC. The loss left the Beacons at 11-6 overall and 0-3 in the LEC.

Home runs by Adam Waxman in the second and a two-run HR by Matthew Thayer in the third gave the Beacons a 3-2 lead after three innings. UMass Boston added two more in the fourth on RBIs by Eddie Stish and Karl Gardner. After scoring two in the top of the first, the Corsairs were blanked by Beacon starter and loser Anthony Forbes (6 innings, 9 runs, 8 earned 2 BB, 2KO) until the UMass Dartmouth seventh inning.

The Corsairs sent 13 batters to the plate in the seventh with Geoff Nettleton's 3-run home run and a two-run single by Tom Jachimczyk serving as the key hits. A Jason Orlando home run and an RBI double by Jachimczyk added two more in the Corsairs' eighth. Robert Young hit a two-run pinch hit home run for the Beacons off winner Pat Reedy (7+ innings, 9 hits, 8 runs, 8 earned, 2 BB, 5 K) before Kyle Darrow came on in relief in the eighth. Darrow got the last six outs, allowing only one Beacon hit, picking up his third save of the season.

Notes: UMass Dartmouth exploded for nine runs in the top of the fourth to break open the second game of the Corsairs' LEC double header against UMass Boston as the Corsairs took the nightcap, 15-8, for a sweep of the two games.

The Corsairs extended their winning streak to seven straight sparked by a 4-4 day from Kevin Walsh. The sophomore first baseman from New Bedford hit a pair of home runs, including a three-run HR in the fourth and a two-run blast in the UMass Dartmouth sixth inning. UMass Dartmouth hit five home runs in the game, including a two-run HR by Geoff Nettleton earlier in the Corsairs' fourth, prior to Walsh's first of two for the game.

Jason Devincent went seven innings and allowed 12 hits and eight runs to pick up his second win of the season against one loss. UMass Boston starter Seth Bedard took the loss for the Beacons. Jim McDonough, Matthew Thayer and Adam Waxman each went 3-5 for UMass Boston and Mike McGonigle had a two-run HR to highlight the Beacon's five-run seventh.

UMass Dartmouth will host Brandeis University in a non-conference game on Sunday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m.
