The American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment is a joint project of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), ecoAmerica, and Second Nature, a Massachusetts non-profit organization headed by Anthony Cortese. The campaign provides a framework to help colleges and universities develop plans for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming - with a goal of making their campuses "climate neutral."
Chancellor MacCormack signed the agreement in the spring of 2007 and several teams of community members helped compile our Campus Sustainability Assessment.
