Virginia State University’s baseball team also won their 20th game of the season, clinching their ninth straight season with 20+ overall wins.

RHP Nicholas Christopher struck-out six Tigers picking up his sixth win of the season in a 13-2 blowout for the Trojans against Salem International on Saturday, April 7 in Petersburg, VA. Infielder Joshua Markins added some offense with two hits and three RBI’s for VSU.
Virginia State and Salem International battled into extra innings in the first game of a double-header at Whaley Colbert Field on Friday, April 6. The Trojans scored the winning run in the eighth inning after a bases loaded walk by the Tigers. Catcher John McCarty led the Trojans with three hits and outfielder Cameron Cox added two RBI’s.
