Waubonsee Community College has an open-door policy and welcomes all who can benefit from the courses and programs offered. Eligible students include high school graduates or the equivalent (GED), others 18 years of age and older, non-graduates aged 16 or 17 who have severed their connection with the high school system, and students younger than 18 years of age who meet established criteria.
As part of the college's open admission policy, educational opportunities are available to any student able to benefit from its program of study. However, students may be admitted only to curricula for which they are eligible. In compliance with the Illinois Public Community College Act, in-district applicants shall be given preference over out of district applicants.
