In keeping with the observation of the Campus Master Plans that the campus needs to increase the planted areas around the buildings to soften the demarcation line of the campus woods, the Alumni Association is working on an initiative to create a grove of trees surrounding the Alumni Tower. Both flowering ornamental and long-lived hardwoods are planned for this area (see: Downy Serviceberry Tree and the Kentucky Coffee Tree) . Individuals and/or groups are encouraged to purchase trees and benches for this area. For more information, you should contact Amy Shope, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations.
